On june19th, the medieval village of Vouvant, situated in south-east Vendee, not
far from my hometown organized "Peintres chez l'habitant" ("locals welcome artists").
Local people (about 20 of them) agreed to open their doors to artists and to have
people visiting their garden (or living room, or garage) to discover the works
of about 30 artists (all painters). It was a very congenial day, with people,
from the village or from the area,coming for a chat, or a drink or two!!!...with
the artists and their neighbours. |
